The creator of the essential online library Flibusta announced the closure of the project due to the fact that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

This is Stever. I’m in the hospital with an obscenely sized glioblastoma. Unfortunately, Flibusta seems to have ended here, as did I. Thanks everyone, it was fun. The servers are paid for for a few more weeks.

Glioblastoma is an aggressive form of malignant brain tumor, belonging to the group of gliomas. It is considered one of the most malignant tumors, as it grows quickly, penetrates into surrounding tissues and is difficult to treat individually.

Flibusta was launched in 2009 and has grown to over 1.3 million users. The site was blocked in Russia in 2016.
