Ozon has ordered that the collection points (POP) scan each product returned by the customer for shipment to the courier service. This was reported to RB.RU by a market representative.

In turn, the courier must also scan each product that he accepted at the collection point, if its quantity does not exceed 150 pieces.

If there are more shipments, scanning each product will only be necessary for shipments from sellers who store their products in market warehouses.

The innovation, as the company claims, will minimize goods losses and increase payments to couriers.

Couriers will be paid for each scanned item separately, and not for a single order flow, as was previously the case. Your remuneration will increase between 10% and 13% depending on the region of work. A representative of Ozon explained to RB.RU that previously the market could not accurately track the place where the goods were lost: at the pick-up point or on the way to the logistics center.

The company also announced that from the beginning of October it will increase the remuneration of couriers by 25% for night movements between sorting centers.

According to the company’s own data, 550 thousand entrepreneurs work with Ozon. The site’s assortment amounts to 370 million products.
