On September 28, a Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched from Cape Canaveral, and NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov were sent to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard the Crew Dragon Freedom capsule.
Although key milestones of the mission were successful, including the landing of the first stage and the launch of the capsule into orbit, SpaceX reported a failure during the descent of the second stage.
It landed safely in the ocean, but flew out of its intended area. The company suspended further launches until the reasons for the incident are clarified.
This problem was the second in the last three months. In July, Falcon 9 also experienced an oxygen leak, which caused the loss of Starlink satellites.
