The day before, the agency recommended that Russian airlines temporarily stop flights in the airspace of Israel, Iran and Iraq, as well as change their flight routes.

Later that day, the Federal Air Transport Agency urged domestic airlines to operate flights to these countries at certain times: October 2, 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Moscow time, October 3, from 09:00 to 19:00.

The flight restrictions are associated with the escalation of a large-scale military conflict in the Middle East. Notably, during it, on October 1, Iran fired hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel.
