Reuters recalls that the payment of a fine of 28.6 million reais (5.24 million dollars) is the last step to unblock the social network in Brazil. But the billionaire did not go to the bank when it came to paying the amount.

As clarified by the local newspaper O Globo, the company made a deposit in the Caixa Económica Federal account, but had to transfer the amount to the Banco do Brasil account.

Only after the money has been transferred to the correct bank will the documents be presented to the Brazilian Attorney General’s Office so that it can issue a ruling on unblocking the social network.

In mid-August, the social network X announced that it would stop operating in Brazil due to threats from the judiciary. which blocked accounts, essentially introducing censorship that was unacceptable to Musk.
