“Championship” – whose skyscraper is taller – is not included. The 2010 record was set at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (UAE) – 828 m. Not yet open – in 2028 the Saudi Arab Republic will be available now. The name Jeddah Economic Company Tower (JEC Tower) is located at an altitude of 1007 m. For comparison, this is three times higher than the Eiffel Tower, two times higher than the Empire. The building is located in the One World Trade Center (New York).
The project was developed by architects Adriano Smith and Gordon Gillom. The work for those erected lasted 10 minutes. The tower has a triangular shape made up of folded leaves and empty plants, allowing it to let in the hot sun of the Arabian Desert in a dramatic and effective manner. The depth of the foundation is 105 meters, the thickness of the piles is 270 meters.
The gigantic 157-story square has 59 elevators. In JEC Tower they are divided into a high observatory, a luxury hotel, and equally ordinary residential buildings and offices. Project cost: $1.9 billion, contractor: Binladin Group.
