Amazon publishes a booklet with tips for people with ADHD to use Alexa

Amazon launched on Wednesday (6) Awareness booklet about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)According to the Brazilian Psychiatric Association (ABP), this condition occurs in 5.9% of children and teenagers and 2.8% of adults. It is free and available online.

The document, prepared in partnership with ABP, also serves as a guide for people diagnosed with this disorder to use Alexa in their daily lives. According to big tech, the voice assistant has a number of features that will provide patients with a calmer and more organized life.

Creating lists, reminders, timers, alarms, calendars, and skills are some of the tools technology offers to cope with the challenges associated with the disorder. Establishing routines can also be helpful for carriers, parents, and guardians.

However, according to the organization’s president, Antônio Geraldo da Silva, some technological tools contribute to significantly improving this situation. “Alexa’s resources and monitoring of medical professionals can make treatment more fun and interactive, motivating the pursuit of practicing healthier techniques and routines,” he explained.
