The gaming market continues to grow rapidly in Brazil. According to the National Games Industry Survey conducted by Abragames and ApexBrasil, the industry recorded a growth of 3.2% between 2022 and 2023, reaching a total of more than 1,042 active studios.

The country has cemented itself as Latin America’s largest gaming market, moving $2.3 billion in 2022, and has emerged on the international stage with half of national studios generating at least 70% of their revenue from foreign sales.

In the context of the growth and professionalization of the gaming industry, especially in the world of eSports, the debate among players on choosing the best equipment that will guarantee excellent performance is gaining importance.

For many years, the use of wireless peripherals was avoided by the most demanding gamers. The main concern was around latency, which is reaction lag that can compromise agility and precision during matches. This has made wired mice and keyboards the dominant choice in competitions.

However, this reality has changed with technological developments. Wireless technologies have advanced to the point where they have virtually eliminated any risk of lag, making these devices not only a viable option but also a preferred device by many gamers.

The freedom provided by wireless peripherals significantly enhances the gaming experience by eliminating cable friction on a mouse pad or desk. This eliminates the need for additional accessories to keep cables organized, making movement easier and contributing to smoother and more comfortable performance.

Environmental

These next-generation peripherals have been extensively tested and validated by eSports champions in various competitions around the world. The ability to combine high performance with practicality has given professional and amateur gamers a new perspective and cemented wireless as a solid trend in the gaming market.

Besides technological innovation, another important factor is the commitment to sustainability. In the current scenario, companies developing peripherals have adopted responsible environmental practices, such as the use of recycled materials in their products, which contribute to reducing the environmental impact.

This sustainable move reflects the growing ecological awareness among consumers who seek not only quality and performance but also social and environmental responsibility in their equipment.

Environmental

According to Abragames, the growth of the gaming market is directly linked to the creative economy, a sector that has increased its GDP by 69.8% in the last decade. In this sense, in addition to being an economic locomotive, the gaming industry is also at the forefront of technological and environmental innovations. In Brazil, the world’s fifth-largest mobile gaming market and tenth-largest gaming market, global trends are finding room to rapidly develop and strengthen.

Thus, the use of wireless peripherals, previously viewed with skepticism, is now an established reality. The continued evolution of this technology, combined with a greater interest in sustainability, ensures that the future of gaming in both casual and competitive environments will increasingly be wireless, without losing sight of the performance required for the rigors of eSports.

The trend points to a market where wireless technology will become the standard, offering players in Brazil and around the world freedom of movement and an enhanced gaming experience.
