Arc Search, a browser from The Browser Company, is finally available on Android this Thursday (14). In tests carried out since October The app is now available to everyone.
Like its desktop counterpart, Arc Search is designed to be a browser with a clean interfaceIt is lightweight and focused on usability.
Arc Search’s goal is to make web browsing as simple and intuitive as possible, and to this end it deviates from several conventions established by more popular browsers. The browser visually focuses on the content displayed on the page and treats almost each tab as if it were a separate application.
Completing the experience, there is voice search support and a widget for the home screen that speeds up online searches. The browser included an ad blocker, cookie blocker and anti-tracking system.
Although it is available for Android, Synchronization between devices still does not work on mobile phones using the Google system. For now, syncing only happens between PCs (Windows and Mac) and iPhones.
THE Arc Browser born April 2022Launched only on Mac, the browser was later released for Windows.
Arc Browser focuses on usability but is complex
While it aims to make web browsing as simple as possible, learning how to use Arc takes time, and the same should happen on Android. On a PC, learning to navigate requires patience, given how open tabs work differently.
Given Arc’s complexity, the Browser Company began developing a more affordable alternative. THE The original browser will not be abandonedHowever, there will be another option for those looking for the company’s products.
Arc Search is available as a free download from the Play Store, compatible with any mobile phone running Android 12 (or newer). THE The app currently has more than 100 thousand downloads in the official Google store.
