Interest in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies is rapidly growing in Russia, representatives of the state company Rosatom reported. In the last two years, the market volume increased by 30% and reached 172 billion rubles. Analysts predict that by 2030 the market could grow by 60% and reach 276 billion rubles. The real increase is seen in the IoT software segment, which grows by 12% annually.

IoT encompasses devices connected to the internet to exchange data, from smart watches to smart home and office systems. These technologies help control lighting and heating, monitor the condition of equipment and prevent emergencies. Currently, about a third of IoT spending in Russia is related to capital construction, modernization of facilities and service networks.

Demand for IoT is observed especially in areas such as security, social infrastructure, construction and energy. Companies are actively using technology to automate production, manage transportation, and analyze customer activities. According to estimates, up to 80 billion rubles of the total market volume could come from IoT software by 2030.
