The US Treasury has imposed sanctions against Gazprombank, the state corporation Dom.RF, BKS Bank and other credit institutions. This is stated in a message on the website of the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Also subject to restrictions were the head of the department of the national payment system of the Bank of Russia, Alla Bakina, and the first vice-presidents of the Central Bank, Vladimir Chistyukhin and Dmitry Tulin. In total, about 100 people and companies were added to the sanctions list.
Western countries began imposing sanctions against Russia following the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the start of a special military operation in Ukraine in 2022. The restrictions affected the largest companies, including Norilsk Nickel, the Moscow Stock Exchange, the Stock Exchange St. Petersburg, Ingosstrakh, the NAMI Automotive Research Institute, the Mir payment system and the PIK development group.
Vladimir Putin called the abolition of all restrictions one of the conditions for the start of peace negotiations in Ukraine.
