Blink Fitness trainer Ronnie Garcia called out high-intensity workouts that can damage your joints.

Running. Running on the pavement destroys cartilage in the waist, hips and knees. Over time, this condition can also lead to arthritis. An excellent alternative to running is the elliptical trainer.

Jumping Jack. Repetitive jumping and landing can damage your hips, knees and ankles. Instead, do the step-jack exercise, which involves stepping sideways rather than jumping.

Jumping on a stand. They are especially harmful to the knees and ankles. A good alternative is Bench Rise. It uses the same muscle groups, improves balance and strength, but puts less stress on the joints.

Burpee. To reduce stress on your joints, replace the bounce with a simple step back in plank position.

Basketball and other high-impact sports. These include tennis and football. Instead, choose low-impact activities such as swimming or cycling.

sprint. Try the rowing machine instead. It will strengthen muscles and increase endurance without putting pressure on the joints.
