Cloud Sovereign means Thailand will have control over its data: where it is stored, who has access and how it is used. This cloud-hosted data will be used to create a local AI ecosystem, such as generative AI chatbots trained on Thai data, Huang said.

Additionally, Nvidia plans to partner with 40 universities and more than 50 startups in Thailand to enable local schools and businesses to benefit from its AI capabilities. Huang emphasized that the country’s data should belong to its own people and that he sees them as an important national resource.
