Threads has added new filters to make searches even more accurate. In the mobile application, the social network now allows you to search for specific posts made by profiles during a certain period.
You New Topic search filters are available in the upper right corner of the screeninside the search bar. By tapping on it you can add a start date, end date and select the author of the post.
Topics with filters enabled will search for content entered in the search box that meets the selected criteria.
Before, Threads’ search function was much simpler: The only option available was sorting, which allowed you to list posts by engagement (most viral first) or newest.
While the new filters are an important addition, the Threads tool is still not as powerful as X’s, formerly Twitter. Elon Musk’s social network allows you to target searches by language, keywords, whole phrases, hashtags and more.
According to Threads, nThe app’s new search filters will be coming to the app “soon”. The platform did not specify a specific date for the new feature to be available.
