According to the Bank of Russia, more than 50 percent of scams are related to social engineering, in which attackers persuade the victim to make financial transactions under their pressure. The “Protection of Your Loved Ones” service will help prevent such crimes by reporting suspicious transactions to a trusted person and asking for confirmation.

To connect to the service, simply select a trusted contact in the T-Bank mobile application in a few clicks. This person will be notified of suspicious transfers and will need to approve or deny them within 24 hours. The specified transfer limit is configurable and amounts above this limit will be sent for additional verification.

Additionally, to prevent fraudsters from shutting down the service, a “cooling off” period is provided in which the trusted person will receive notifications even after sending a shutdown request.
