The question in the title is relevant, but in fact it is just a seed.
Sometimes it happens like this: you see a thing, you want it, you take it regardless of the price. And that’s it. That’s how I bought a case for 5 thousand for AirPods Pro 2.
Many people found his photo on our Telegram and asked what it was and where to buy it – so I’m sharing it.
What a cover
This is an Aulumu A09 case with a geometric pattern. They are made in China with a premium claim. They are little known, but this does not prevent them from becoming moderately popular in Russian marketplaces over the past six months. I came across it in the recommendations. And away we go.
The case is made of polyurethane and is available in two colors – gray and black. Brothers, I only recommend the gray version, the paint comes off with a black tear, judging by the reviews.
The whole “trick” of the A09 is its appearance. Futuristic, “cyberpunk”, with chopped edges and inserts because of this. Functionally interesting is that the lid latch and the “eye” are a carabiner. Wireless charging through the case works correctly, which was a surprise for me given its thickness.
The case is attached to the headphones using double-sided adhesive tape. As for performance, I recommended cutting a small piece from this tape from the kit so that the headphones can then be removed from the case at all. In addition to the tape, the kit includes a small analogue of a “removal”, just a fabric bracelet with Velcro.
The case, despite the somewhat impractical color, performed very well after three months of daily active use. I often fastened it directly to my backpack, dangling from it in plain sight – for example, when I went to Sochi for the New Star Weekend and spent two days in the pouring rain. No matter how many times A09 falls, there are still no signs of damage on it.
One minus: over time, gray polyurethane darkens in the corners, this is inevitable. You can renew it by rubbing it with force with a damp cloth or some chemical.
Several times I wondered what kind of case this was. It protects not only too well, but even seriously: the AirPods case doubles in volume in it. This means that it performs its task both as nonsense for the mood, and as just a basic useful thing for protecting headphones.
In general, Aulumu has several other cool accessories. For example, along with the case I bought a MagSafe stand with a hidden ceramic knife (yes, seriously). If suddenly someone is interested, I can describe my impressions in more detail in another post.
I have nothing more to write about Aulumu A09 Geometric Case. In addition to the price: in Russia it costs about 4,500 rubles. AliExpress is cheaper, but wait longer.
