The move comes after GE is set to withdraw from Russia in 2022, leaving behind its healthcare division to expand its operations in the country. GE HealthCare’s revenue increased by 27% to 15 billion rubles in 2023. With international competitors such as Siemens and Philips leaving the market, GE HealthCare may become a virtual monopoly on the Russian market for high-tech medical equipment.

Experts note that the 101 MHz frequency has good tissue penetration and minimal intervention, making it ideal for telemedicine and remote diagnosis.
