Alfa-Bank’s Netmonet service announced the amount of the largest one-time tips for 2024. According to it, a waiter from St. Petersburg received 128 thousand rubles from one of the visitors. This was reported by the press service of the service to RB.RU. The name of the establishment was not revealed there.

According to Netcoin, the most profitable day for Russian waiters was March 8. Tip turnover on this day increased by 17% compared to 2023.
Additionally, analysts found that most visitors left tips around 8:30 p.m., and Saturday became the most popular day of the week to reward restaurant workers. The average tip amount as of December 1, 2024 was 434 rubles in Moscow, 336 rubles in St. Petersburg and 321 rubles in other regions of Russia.
Netcoin also talked about a new feature that will allow cafe and restaurant employees to receive personal statistics on the amount and number of tips received during the year, reviews and other indicators. “By summarizing personal results of the year, employees will be able to remember the bright moments of the year and feel the value of their work,” said head of the service Igor Ferkalyuk.
According to the company, Netcoin is used by more than 25 thousand restaurants, cafes, bars and other establishments in the HoReCa segment. In 2023, the service launched the possibility of paying bills by QR code, electronic menu and prepayments.
