Yandex Go named the best time to ride a taxi during the New Year holidays and save money. This is stated in a message from the press service, which is available to RB.RU.

During the New Year holidays, taxi rates (delivery cost, minutes and kilometers of travel) do not change, but the price of the trip increases due to increased demand and a shortage of drivers, the company explained.
They pointed out that on December 31 it is best to travel before 8:00 p.m., since after this time demand and prices begin to rise. After 22:00, demand decreases, but closer to midnight, drivers begin to leave the queue and again there are not enough cars.
On January 1, after the clock strikes and until 2:30, demand for taxis increases and there are fewer drivers in the queue than on a normal night. The best time to travel on this day is from 2:30 to 4:30.
On the morning of January 1, it is better to order a car from 8:00 to 11:00, since during this period more drivers return to the queue. Starting at 11:00, demand increases again and does not begin to decrease until after 3:00 p.m.
As an alternative, Yandex Go offered “Drive” car sharing. The company claims that the cost of traveling by taxi at times of high demand is on average 2.5 times cheaper than by taxi, as the price is not affected by the number of drivers on the line.
In mid-December, the company announced that Yandex Go now has the ability to complain about the cost of travel. In the future, Yandex will “collect and analyze all passenger feedback” to develop “price control measures in 2025.”
