If a Windows 11 PC user copies a date or phone number, this feature will be automatically enabled. The system then offers apps for calls or reminders or events, including calendar. The user is allowed to decide what to do next.

However, due to complaints from many users about the lack of performance or even uselessness of this feature, the developers will remove Recommended Actions from the operating system. This change will most likely be implemented in a future Windows 11 update. As of February 2025, Recommended Actions may no longer be available in Windows 11.
