A free chatbot app, Grok, powered by artificial intelligence from Elon Musk’s startup xAI, has appeared on iOS. The service is currently being tested in several countries, including the US, Australia and India, TechCrunch reported.

The AI assistant will also appear in the web version; For this, xAI is developing the grok.com website. It is now a landing page with the inscription Coming Soon, which hints at the development of the service.
The description of Grok in the App Store says that the application allows you to generate images, receive various information in real time and have a conversation with artificial intelligence.
In early December 2024, Grok became available without a premium subscription. Free users can submit up to 10 requests every two hours. The cost of a paid subscription starts at approximately $8.8 per month.
The assistant was created by Musk’s xAI artificial intelligence startup, which the entrepreneur founded in July 2023. The company’s employees include people from DeepMind, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Twitter (rebranded as X) and Tesla.
