Samsung announced that it has made significant changes to its Galaxy Trade-in trade-in program. Now the service lets you trade in old devices at any time, but doesn’t require an immediate new purchase.

Originally exclusive to South Korea and France, the revamped Galaxy Trade-in aims to “increase the value of Galaxy devices” in the long term by offering significant savings during the trade-in process.

The main change to the Galaxy Trade-in program is the end of the need for instant purchases. Previously, the program made it possible to trade in an old mobile phone only when purchasing a new device from the Samsung website or application.

Moreover, changes can be made whenever you want. In some regions, Galaxy Trade-In only allowed trading on older devices during certain periods (usually before the launch of new models).

However, some restrictions still apply: Galaxy Trade-In only allows exchange of high-end devices brand — Galaxy S family and Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Z Fold 3 and later foldable devices.
