The top five leaders in IT brand attractiveness also included Positive Technologies (86%), Avito (85%), Kaspersky Lab (85%) and 2GIS (84%). The top 10 included Dodo Engineering (82%), HeadHunter (81%), Ozon (80%), T-Bank (79%) and Selectel (79%).
In total, 34 thousand mid- and senior-level IT specialists participated in the study, most of whom were employed in backend development (5.8 thousand people), system analysis (3 thousand), technical support (2.9 thousand) and project management (2.1 thousand).
The majority of respondents (46%) live in Moscow and the Moscow region, 14% each in St. Petersburg and the Volga Federal District, 6% each in the Central and Siberian Federal Districts.
The researchers also named the most popular employers by industry. Among telecommunications companies, the leaders were MTS Digital, MegaFon, T2 and Beeline; in the field of financial technology – T-Bank, Tochka, Raiffeisen Bank, Alfa-Bank and Sber, in e-commerce – the popularity of Avito, Ozon, Lamoda and Cian, and in industry – Phosagro, Severstal, Rosatom, Sibur and Gazpromneft.
The survey also showed that IT specialists most value the quality of the company’s product and the level of development of the professional environment. In the companies that top the ranking, respondents saw an opportunity to gain experience and improve their relevance in the labor market, the study’s authors noted.
In December, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, said the department aims to attract up to 700,000 new developers to the IT sector by 2030 to counter the shortage of qualified employees. In his words, over the past four years the number of employees of IT companies has increased by 50% and exceeded 850 thousand people, and the average salary in the industry is 185 thousand rubles, but companies still “do not have “enough staff.” “
