“In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 29, 2019 No. 843, from February 1, 2025, as part of the annual indexation, the tariff in the state Platon system will be 3, 34 rubles per kilometer. The current rate is 3.05 rubles per kilometer,” the message says.
He notes that by paying fees through Platon, freight transporters managed to receive more than 300 billion rubles to the Federal Highway Fund by the beginning of 2025. Of them, in 2024, thanks to the operation of the system, the fund received 52.627 billion rubles.
The money received by the fund made it possible last year to repair more than 485 kilometers of federal roads in 28 regions of Russia, as well as “ensure the installation of wear layers” on another 384 kilometers of roads, according to the press service. by Rosavtodor.
The Platon system was launched in 2015 and is designed to charge trucks weighing more than 12 tons tolls for traveling on federal highways. The fee is collected to compensate for damage trucks cause on federal public roads. As of January 2025, Platon was used by more than 861 thousand cargo carriers and more than 1.9 million vehicles.
