“Friends, we have sad news for you: we are withdrawing all types of Ayunka chocolates from our range and sales. Yesterday we received a letter of complaint from the Krasny Oktyabr confectionery factory about the resemblance to Alenka chocolate,” the message continues.

Now “Lesnaya Factory” is trying to resolve the claim peacefully. Company representatives also noted that they are developing a line of chocolate in packaging “in the ethnic style of the region.”

“Ayunka” chocolate began to be produced about a year ago, and a few months later the packaging was redesigned, which probably attracted the attention of “Red October,” Alexander Razzhivin, director of the “Forest Factory”, told Kommersant.

The newspaper writes that the forestry factory has been operating since 2016 and is based in Ulan-Ude. The company specializes in the production of teas and edible souvenirs based on wild Baikal plants.

In early January, customs officials in Tyumen confiscated from two passengers coming from the United Arab Emirates more than 56 kg of undeclared Dubai chocolate (a dessert filled with pistachio paste and kataifi dough) worth 940,000 rubles. One of the criminals was carrying 72 chocolate bars, the other 184.
