RuStore’s monthly audience has grown to 50 million users. This allowed the app store to become the second most popular in Russia after Google Play. This was reported by RB.RU in the press service of the national platform.

“In December 2024, the monthly audience of the RuStore app store amounted to 50 million users over 12 years of age throughout Russia, according to a study by Mediascope. At the same time, the audience of Xiaomi Mi Store was 19 million, Samsung Galaxy Store 14 million and Huawei AppGallery 10 million,” they noted in the press service.
In December 2023, the online store’s monthly audience was 26 million people, Vedomosti wrote, citing data from Mediascope. Thus, during the year RuStore’s audience increased by 92%.
The press service added that growth is being seen in the cross-audience of RuStore and Google Play. “Users actively use both stores and are gradually moving from the American market to the Russian one. A redistribution of the audience of Huawei AppGallery and Xiaomi GetApps on RuStore has also been observed,” the company states.
RuStore’s monthly audience has grown, including thanks to the increase in the catalog of applications and video games by 1.6 times, up to 50 thousand, RuStore noted, but did not specify during what period of time the growth occurred.
RuStore Director Dmitry Pankrushev said that in 2025 the online store will focus on attracting exclusive games and expanding the application’s presence on various devices.
At the end of December, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, stated that since the launch of RuStore it has been installed 80 million times. The minister highlighted that the domestic market has surpassed the App Store, owned by Apple, in this indicator.
RuStore is developed by VK, the online store is available on Android, Harmony OS and Aurora OS.
