The main design of the houses was printed in just 12 days using the Cobod Bod2 printer, which applied layers of cement-like material to form the walls. The first floor was printed in seven days and the top in five. Then “traditional” builders added a roof, windows, doors and electrical systems.
The use of 3D printing reduced construction time by 35% compared to similar projects, with half of the savings achieved directly during printing. Accurate 3D printing made it possible to better integrate other elements of the building, speeding up construction as a whole.
