Participants of the new study were more than 200 professional players from Brazil and Sweden. Approximately 9% of them were women. In addition, 124 non -Brazilian athletes with similar education and social origin were included in the study.
Professional athletes have achieved better performances in working memory, better performance and better planning in solving problems. Management functions are also well developed. It is the management of information processing in the highest areas of order that helps a person to adapt to rapidly changing events.
In the personality test, players had more points in their discipline, energetic, extroversion and other factors. However, it turned out that they were less social and collaborators.
