The main change has affected the “All Applications” section – now users will be able to select one of the two ranking methods: a grid in the form of a grid with the alphabet or grouping according to categories.
In the new version, each program receives its own tile slot and the list is displayed more sequentially.
In the category mode of the application, they are automatically distributed to thematic sections similar to the institution on iOS. However, Microsoft probably does not allow users to create their own categories using algorithms for automatic grouping.
Although the changes are not radical, the new format makes the start menu more comfortable and spacious. Microsoft is already testing on the beta channel and the overall renovation version is expected in the next two months.
