Russian retailers will provide a one-year warranty for all equipment imported through parallel imports. Izvestiya was informed about this by the Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT), which includes M.Video, Eldorado, Citylink, All Instruments, Yandex.Market, Ozon and DNS.
According to AKIT President Artem Sokolov, the sellers did not give guarantees for the goods, because manufacturers were hunting for them. In the case of choosing between import stores, the decision was made to commit and guarantee one year. Sokolov noted that the warranty period for imported technical equipment has not been established.
Stores conclude contracts with service centers that previously worked with manufacturers. If a breakdown or marriage is detected, retailers will pay for the repair themselves. [Известия]
