Unlike Samsung Dex, which already offers a similar experience in the flagship Galaxy, the Google Desktop mode is still designed for an early stage and developer test. However, improvements such as DisplayPort support through USB-C and Windows show that Google is trying for competition. It is expected that a complete version will be realized with Android 16 in 2026
