Kalmykov said that scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences regularly participated in the meetings of the government commission to eliminate the consequences of shedding. Previously, ANAPA discussed developments to combat environmental damage, including robots, absorbent materials and biological products.

However, the key task is to raise the parts of sunken ships where a significant amount of fuel is protected. It should be carefully pumped to prevent new leaks. According to the expert, there are already necessary equipment and technologies for this.
