The debate concerns the revision of the conditions of many years of cooperation between companies that started in 2019, when Microsoft’s investment in Openai billion dollars. Later, the agreement included the right to place Openai models on the Azure cloud platform.
However, Openai is now trying to reconsider these conditions. According to sources, the company is ready to accept 33% of Microsoft’s share in the new business structure if the company wants to obtain exclusiveness and rejects future profit rights.
Negotiations continue on the revision of the shares and the revision of other provisions of the contract. Openai needs to consent to complete the transition of a non -public -profit organization, but despite the discussions that lasted for months, it has not yet reached agreements.
In the case of negotiations, Openai may contact the US regulatory authorities to check the conditions of cooperation.
