Russian electronic payment service “YuMoney” began issuing virtual bank cards “Mir”. The launch of the plastic cards is planned for the fall. Valid for five years, issuance and maintenance are free. This was reported to RB.RU in the press service of the company.

UMoney clients will be able to issue Mir virtual cards

Customers will be able to issue a card in a mobile application or on the service's website with any wallet status. When opening a wallet, "Mir" will be released automatically.

The card and the wallet complement each other: they have different numbers, but the balance is the same. The mobile app must be the latest version.

This card can be used to pay for any online purchases throughout Russia. Customers with an AndroidTM smartphone and built-in NFC function will be able to connect the card to the Mir Pay app. This will allow you to pay contactless using your phone in the subway, shops, cafes, gas stations, etc.

This card can also be used to withdraw money from ATMs of various banks with a contactless card reader. With an identified wallet status, the monthly cash withdrawal limit is 1.3 million rubles. Restrictions on transfers by phone number without commission - up to 100 thousand rubles.
