Most of the time, the damage was previously installed in cheap TV settings, tablets and projectors, including Chinese production. These devices worked in the simplified version of Android without being built under Google protection.
Immediately after connecting to the Internet, the vehicles became part of Botnet. Some have been used for advertising fraud, as a proxy server in which others are hiding their activities.
The harmful network was defined by Google with human safety and trend micro. To check the quality of advertising, the Google team was able to monitor malicious traffic over time, blocking thousands of fraudulent accounts, and now recognizes such threats even in applications loaded out of Google Play.
The FBI also asked to disable Google Play Protect protection if they came or loaded, especially from unknown brands.
