Scientists, together with the Children’s City Hospital No. 9, from 6 months to 17 years of age with suspicion of allergy of milk or egg allergy read 130 children. First, standard blood tests and skin tests were performed, then some children took small parts of a potential allergy in a 15 -minute range in an intensive care unit. The doctors watched the children a few hours after the last dose.
The results have shown that there are no serious allergic reactions and only 6 % of children are confirmed. This means that most children (94 %) are in a restrictive diet without the need for. Such restrictions create difficulties: the child cannot eat with others, and parents spend time and money in a special menu.
The new technique will be included in the updated clinical protocol for the diagnosis of food allergies and will be present in private hospitals in Moscow and other parts of the Russian Federation.
