The event was organized by Krypectiv’s creative industry fund. The development of Creative Industries Universal University and the School of Computer Graphics and Scream School games were curators. The partners of the festival were large companies and publishers, including hobby games, Bombor and Fogame.

Among the participants were both famous studios and independent teams. VK Play, astrum Entertainment, 1C Game Studios, Game Art Pioners, Smola, Kaspersky, Indian Labs and others offered their products and services.

The business program included lessons, round paintings and public debates about the development of the game industry in Russia and the world. Technological trends, domestic studios and distribution issues expectations were discussed. Play Zone was organized for studios and independent developers, where project presentations and sales were made for investors and publishers.

Beginners were able to enter the profession in PlayPort Junior Zone. There were project performances and kindergartens and meetings of the educational institutions. In addition, the HR region worked, where experts gave career consultations and helped to compile a resume.

The entertainment part of the festival included an e-sports tournament, table games and cosplay shows. Cosplayers reconstructed the characters of the popular game universes who completed the holiday atmosphere.

Alina Kalkuta, Director of Krypectiv Foundation, stressed that the festival shows the importance of human capital for the development of the region’s game industry, and that all participants make it possible to be a part of the professional community.

Daria Strekalova, President of the Scream School, said that PlayPort Fest helps to unite experts and new developers, created conditions for exchange of experience and showed the expectations of young people in the playground.
