The test bench included an Intel 12400F processor, B760 DDR5 motherboard, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, 1 TB SATA KingSpec SSD and a cooler with 4 heat pipes.
In CS 2 with the Medium preset, the 5050 was slightly ahead, but in Fortnite it’s the opposite: the 3060 looks slightly better. However, if you like Fortnite in general, then both graphics cards will be enough for you.
Cronos was running with high graphics settings and DLSS “Quality”. On the 3060 the average FPS was around 60 fps, on the 5050 it was around 40 fps. By enabling frame rendering and reducing the preset to medium on the 5050, performance was increased to 100+ fps.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was running with DLSS, maximum settings. The average frame rate was 97 fps from the 3060 and 81 fps from the 5050.
In Stalker 2, at medium settings and with DLSS 3060 it produced about 60 fps, 5050 with the same parameters and also frame rendering – 80 fps.
Cyberpunk 2077 came with a high preset and frame throughput at 5050. Even in combat, the average FPS was around 90fps for the 3060 and around 120fps for the 5050.
You can see all the test results in the video below.
If you need a new graphics card right now, it’s better to at least look at the RTX 5060 Ti. However, if you are using 3060, there is no point in switching to 5050. Unless you have a very limited budget and are not building a new computer.
