Honor showed the concept of the Robot Phone smartphone with a robotic socket that is mounted on a hinge and extends from the back of the phone, the ability to take photos and videos from any angle.
This camera can be used as a main camera and for taking selfies. It can also look from the side and work when the smartphone is lying on the table, lowered down.
The external design of the camera is reminiscent of the DJI Osmo Pocket. At the same time, the retractable camera does not greatly increase the thickness of the device.
The camera supports artificial intelligence, although it is not yet known where exactly it is used.
Honor is expected to initiate more information about this smartphone at the MWC exhibition, which will be held in February 2026. [The Verge]
