The four habitable modules are connected to the axial module via docking units. The design feature is a sealed moving joint located on one side of the rotating part. This plan increases the safety of the crew by ensuring that the station continues to operate even if one of the elements of the closed unit fails.
According to the patent, the system can create an overload of up to 0.5 grams, corresponding to approximately half of Earth’s gravity. To do this, the modules will rotate at a frequency of approximately five revolutions per minute with a turning radius of approximately 40 meters.
