According to him, Sony is preparing two versions of PS6 at the same time, while Microsoft is preparing a much more powerful version.
While the main PlayStation 6 will receive 30 GB of RAM, the hybrid model, which is similar in concept to the Nintendo Switch, will be equipped with 24 GB and will be designed for the mobile format that focuses on cloud gaming.
Based on the AMD Magnus chip, the new Xbox will have 36 GB of memory and, according to insider information, will provide higher performance than the PS6. It is claimed that Microsoft plans to integrate with Steam, turning the console into an almost full-fledged gaming computer.
However, the PlayStation 6 needs to be cheaper and will likely be released in two price categories to reach different audiences.
Both consoles are expected to launch in late 2027, and official announcements could be made as early as 2026.
