However, the test results were not in Intel’s favor; The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is still a confident leader. In tests of 12 modern games, AMD’s advantage turned out to be significant.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, Ryzen achieved 94% higher frame rates than the Core Ultra 9 285K. In Assetto Corsa Competitione the difference reached 81%, and at ultra settings it was almost 89%. In Space Marine 2, the AMD chip turned out to be 37% faster, and after overclocking, the Intel chip was 48% faster.
Even in Cyberpunk 2077 and Counter-Strike 2 the difference was 42% and 52% respectively. On average, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is 30-35% ahead of the Core Ultra 9 285K, while the 200S Boost technology did not provide a noticeable increase.
In some projects, such as The Last of Us Part II, overclocking did not affect the results at all.
