60 first-year students of the Faculty of Philosophy participated in the experiment. They were divided into two groups: One used artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Gigachat, and the second worked without the help of neural networks. After performing creative tasks for four weeks, researchers compared creativity indicators, the university press service reported.
The results showed that students using artificial intelligence were objectively inadequate in terms of originality, innovation and number of ideas. They also subjectively rated themselves as more creative. This demonstrates the effect of inflated self-confidence when using neural networks.
Scientists emphasize that neural networks can be a useful tool when used to expand the search for ideas and overcome creative obstacles. It is important that artificial intelligence is integrated into education correctly, so that artificial intelligence enhances human thinking rather than replacing it.
