Skolkovo resident developed tests to help detect breast cancer

The development was presented by the resident Skolkovo company Javis Diagnostics, RB was told in the Skolkovo press service. The study, based on the results of which the company developed the test, was carried out with a grant from Skolkovo in the amount of 30 million rubles.

The tests can facilitate the early detection of breast cancer through a blood test. According to scientists, the use of an additional marker makes it possible to avoid false-positive results and increase the sensitivity of the test by up to 75% in the zero and early stages of cancer.

Oncotest is planned to be launched commercially through medical centers and clinics in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In the future, it will be possible to test for the level of a tumor marker independently through federal networks, including under voluntary health insurance.
