Researchers conducted an experiment where they changed the start time of classes in Brazil by one hour. During the experiment, the scientists observed the students’ sleep, drowsiness, and emotional health. As a result, subjects reported feeling less depressed, angry, stressed, and tired at school.

Interestingly, even though the children came to school later, they did not change their sleep times, thus increasing their overall sleep time. This has had a positive effect.
