Almost users had a question – is it possible to “pump” your laptop in this way by installing more RAM or non-volatile memory? Apparently, no, you can’t.
The thing is, you have to enter your MacBook’s serial number when purchasing spare parts. As a result, Apple will check what kind of device you have and offer to buy only components suitable for it.
This was also confirmed by the Self Service Repair support staff. They stated that the spare parts purchased must match the original configuration of the device. Otherwise the user “may encounter a problem that prevents the repair from being completed”.
