The nature of gravity has remained unchanged throughout the history of the universe, according to a new study by the international collaboration Dark Energy Survey (DES). Scientists used the 4-meter Victor Blanco Telescope at the Cerro Telolo Observatory in Chile to observe galaxies 5 billion light-years away. They hoped to determine if gravity had changed over the past 5 billion years. The researchers also examined data from other telescopes.

All observations are consistent with the predictions of general relativity. So they confirm that gravity doesn’t change.
