They can fill the vacant niches in the field of clothing, footwear and household items in the mass market segment, said the head of the association Igor Karavaev, the Prime agency reports.

He also noted that multi-format players such as Indian holding company Reliance, which includes department stores with a variety of products and non-food retailers, have good prospects in the Russian market.

Wines from India, China and Turkey will soon appear on Russian store shelves as well. The sellers insure the risks in case of problems with supplies from European countries. Before that, there were no wines from these regions in Russia.
