Instagram is preparing to once again change the algorithms that will change the organic reach of posts published on social networks. Adam Mosseric, CEO of the social network, explained that the new algorithm will try to give more visibility to original and quality posts, on the contrary, reduce the circulation of completed posts. In short, pinching against the so-called free startup
Instagram also wants to cripple content that reloads from other social networks. In the objective there are mainly the videos taken from TikTok and uploaded to Instagram, which are clearly a major help to the rival platform. The social network wants to give more visibility to the content created natively for Instagram, penalizing the pages that include posts and videos from other sources.
“We want to prioritize originality,” Mosseri explained with an ad hoc published video to showcase the upcoming novelty.
Instagram will also penalize users who simply – in an effort to monetize – create compilations of content from other influencers, streamers and content creators. In other words, monetization should only go to the creator of the original content – and not to the people too freebooter
The risk is obvious that the algorithms will not correctly recognize the original author of any content, thus marking legitimate content as copied. Mosseri promised that most content will be scrutinized to avoid unfairly penalizing content creators.
