iFixit disassembled the iPhone 14 and noticed what components are present inside and what has changed in the design of new iPhones.
Most of all, iFixit specialists were pleased with the fact that the back cover is no longer a single seal with the entire body. You can quickly replace the battery or frame of the device.
In the latter, a comparative design was used in the iPhone 4s. iFixit calls the iPhone 14 the “most significant upgrade” over the iPhone X.
The back cover is attached to the case with two screws, glue and one connector. It opens easier than the screen because the adhesive is not as strong. Appearance appears in the same way.
This was an introductory review of iFixit, which is mainly focused on new lighting issues. Probably in the future there will be a full review, where each component will include in detail.
Despite this, iFixit gave the iPhone 14 repairability a 7 out of 10, the highest score since the iPhone 7. [iFixit]
